Anyone planning on putting a Porsche engine in?
Just thinking about how cool a 911 engine would be in an 86/FR-S/BRZ. Especially something out of a GT3.
I'd love to know if anyone has plans along these lines. |

Good point and if we could get them in Australia as cheap as you get them over there I'd have one now.
http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2013/...e/911/pricing/ http://www.themotorreport.com.au/535...e-in-australia and our dollar buys $1.03 US dollars too! |

im not sure what you are saying makes much sense.
If you were going to buy a 911 engine, you would put it in the cayman chassis, not the fr-s. The 911 turbo engine in a cayman chassis is one of the most potent combinations available. Its like taking a nail file and turning it into a chainsaw.

because the cayman chassis is the best chassis porsche makes. Its a potent weapon on the circuit.

a 2JZ GTE would be nice but a little front heavy. Ahh Porsche, would the 3.2L H6 from the Boxter match up?

True as far as the general configuration AFAIK, (I'm not an expert), but the Carerra chassis has been so well developed and refined over the years that its tough to beat..
