Would almost certainly need to be engineered - except perhaps in the NT.

The RS3 couldn't come here because of the CF front guards.

Even if it was glass rather than cf, there are too many sharp looking edges, that even if its the minimum radius edges to be legal and is engineered, you will still get stopped by every police officer

The Audi didn't get brought here because Audi Australia would have to buy 2 of them from mother Audi, and stack them into walls to prove they are safe. The issue of the carbon guards wasn't something that is a problem. Its just that because it is a different composition to the standard Audi a3 that they would have to submit it to crash testing again . Audi just didn't want to spend the money on that since it would be such a low volume car.

It's urethane isn't it. I think it would be fine to get passed. The issue will be wheel fitment, you would be at risk of constantly getting defected for being too far above track width limits / too low of an offset.

2500$ i think. And im also interested why it would need crash tested or not be street legal? It doesnt change the factory crash beams, or change the structure of the frame.... Its just some plastic added onto a car, wouldnt this mean all spoilers are illegal until crash tested? Lip kits? Please fill me in, im slightly interested in a less race looking version of the RB myself

Australia has some crazy rules when it comes to car mods.

The fact that you even have to debate these issues completely blows my mind. In the states, we see it, like it, figure out the funding, and get with the bolting things on the car. Sorry to hear things like this are such a pain in the butt over there.
