Can someone who already has their car confirm what the wheel specs are on the GT placard?

Dunno if it has been said, but to add for qld, you can't get larger than 2" rims from the factory. So if largest factory rims were 17 you cannot go bigger than 19

This is one of the greatest misconceptions of all time. There is no such rule. You can put whatever sized rim you like on your car, so long as the rolling diameter of the wheel/tyre combination does not exceed +15mm or -26mm from stock.

there WAS a such rule, i will look for it again, unless it has been abolished. i know it was active as of 2011 (last time i actually checked those rules when i was buying last set of rims)
i had a quick look and qld transports website has changed quite a bit more since. i cant find the modifications handbook (one wit a impreza on the cover) anymore, that summrised it nicely

EDIT
i had a better look.
looks like the rule has been abolished 1 November 2012
fuck yeah one less stupid law down

thanks for pointing that out to me Kenno, i didnt know it has been abolished and i wasnt aware that NCOP have been introduced already!
thanks mate, you just gave me some light reading

Do you think there one less stupid law down? What about the loads of stupid new laws coming in.
How many people have read about the new anti hooning laws?

Driving slow in a group of cars can be considered hooning. First offence confiscation of car for 3 months and get caught a second time in 5 years and they will crush/auction your car.

Do a Google search for Tougher anti hooning laws in QLD

Seems like it is really up to the discretion off the police officer at the time.

Oh that, I've seen that before. Do not understand how government can seize your legally obtained property.. That is against human rights, but if your behaving as in that video, than that is a different story since you are endangering other people. The cruising part I don't get, rolling blockade I do. It's subjectional I guess.. I can see it being abused

No worries 70NYD And to my knowledge there was never such a rule, it was always an 'urban myth'. I looked back through some of my old modified car forums right back to 2003. It was an 'urban myth' back then too, with the rules back in 2003 still being the +15/-26mm rule:

http://performanceforums.com/forums/...s-bigger-rims&

I've been modifying cars since the late 1990's now (ewww, just ewww what people used to do to cars back then), and I like to keep myself up to date with the rules. If I can bring any new rules to a fellow enthusiasts attention and have them avoid some fines and defects, then that is a win in my book.

Ok il take your word for it
I swear I read it in the modification handbook (one with a Subaru on cover) but since its not online I can't check anymore
I am sure I'm wrong here, since I can't read it anywhere, and I read a lot of unofficial stuff that clearly tends to cloud after a while
Cheers for that

Btw since 90's?
WOW!
I've been involved with cars since about 04
