I reckon you have some unresolved daddy issues.
Have you tried talking to someone about these?

Anyway. This thread is fucked now. I guess we now have two spam threads.

Dude, this isn't a stock Renault clio either?? It's modified by renault sport with racing parts??
If you read what I am saying, no where do I say it slow, shit or can't handle well??? I may think it's reliability might be worse than the toyota, but that's just based on past experience with renault cars. Nowhere am I knocking your car... Am I jealous? No. But am I hating on the car?? No.
I haven't driven one, but from all the specs there is no reason why it wouldn't be a very capable and fun car. I am not hating it at all mate.

The Renault will easily have better reliability than the 86 considering the 86 is a first year model and has loads of issues out of the box.

Have you owned a renault to be so sure on that?
My 86 hasn't had any issues at all, except a minor rattle, so my reliability has been fine? As has been discussed before ALL cars WILL have some issues at some stage. It's the way mass produced stuff goes. But some more major reliability issues are, generally speaking, more common on a Renault than a Toyota or Subaru. But that's just my 10 years experience in the Auto service industry.
And if Montys Renault ends up being reliable, then that's even better for him

Have you owned Monty's Renault? How do you know? Just because the 86 is a toyota/suburu, doesn't mean it has the reliability of a Corolla. Which it definitely doesn't.
Chirping, condensation, CEL etc, the list goes on.

I've read the whole thread, and the bulk of it is pretty positive. I can't find an instance of Nafe "hating", but there is a fair amount of snarky, sarcastic defensiveness over a vast majority of posts being along the lines of "it's not my thing, but good for you".

Weird thread.

Anyway, I guess I'm happy for the OP that he likes the car, but I personally wouldn't cancel my order for one. To each their own.

tl;dr: it's not my thing, but good for you, and also relax.

very nice @m0nty i hope u enjoy it, i couldn't wait either and it looks like we went to VERY different routes but, i'd probably be in the market for something simillar if i hadn't had the RWD itch because of being in FWD celicas, corollas and a hyundai for years, it looks great.

hope this thread either changes to being positive or dies.

As said, my 86 has not had a single one of those issues, so obviously they aren't all as unreliable as you make them out to be.
I see you own one, so I am sorry to hear if you experience those things.
With regards to the Renault, I really hope this car can break the unreliability issue

I think it's a good choice. I'd love to drive that Clio if only we could get them here. Plus, one of the great things about the 86 right now is its exclusivity. I never see them on the road here. With monty's clio, no one else will have it. That's pretty cool.
