Do you have the suspension on right now? If there’s no binding, or noise, you are good to go.

Its not on right now. Just want to make sure I'll have everything I need.

Measure and see if mounting points are different.

My MCA coilover came with longer links because they recommend a 20mm drop.

The MCA links were around 20mm longer IIRC.

The mounting points were same as OEM struts.

Not having your sway bar geometry right will effect their performance.

Have a google.

When the suspension (strut) lowers the car, what it does is it lowers the top hat.

As the body of the car is lowered, the sway bar is lowered with it. This makes the sway bar further from the connection point on the strut. Creating the need for a longer endlink.

It's possible that some aftermarket struts/coilovers modify the position of the sway bar connection point, I don't know, but that would change the geometry and the behavior of the sway bar.

This is a classic example of sprung vs. unsprung weight/components.

On our cars this is a fixed length regardless of ride height. What dictates needing a shorter link is clearance to other suspension components. I am over 1.5" lower, stock length links.

I’ve been asking about this for a while regarding whether I need different endlinks when I lower, and I’m still unsure, but I’m gonna put on my enjinear hat for a sec and think out loud.

Because there’s a lateral arm on the sway bar, and it’s free rotating...

As long as the change in ridehight (at rest and also compression) is lower than the radius of (axis of the swaybar to the endlink bolt on the sway bar), and there’s no physical interference to the other suspension components in that range of motion, the system should perform the same as it did stock.

Right?

It needs to be longer, not shorter.

My coils came with shorter end links.
