I know it doesn't get asked much because everyone only cars about whp/wtq when they're shooting for big power....

But what was the MPG like on E70-85 when you're around 350-400whp. Debating if I should just go JRSC w/ carb tune or...do an engine build in the future and shoot for big power. And yeah I know MPG is relative to your right foot, just kinda curious of the ballpark numbers here. I'm guessing around 15 MPG streets & 20 MPG hwy, all that power is awesome but if its not practical for your day-day life may be better to stick with 91 & carb tune lol.

That seems very reasonable honestly.

Keep in mind this platform was engineered for 200 HP at the crank, even after the engine build you have to look at supporting mods such as wheels, tires, axles, oil coolers, catch cans, clutch, (might be forgetting some lol) if you're shooting for big power.

I'm slightly below that. I only know this because I had to stay below 4k for my 3k break in period and it took me the last 5 months to do it, so I was back to miles per gallon instead of smiles per gallon. That's roughly 80% city driving since I was supposed to modulate throttle and stay off the freeway for long periods.

I got about 20-21 mpg. My daily is a mix of city and hwy.

That's a good price but still 3x the cost of a stock motor. Without supporting mods, you couldn't utilize the motor's potential - it would be like running your stock motor all over again, only it probably wouldn't break this time. But with no changes I'd just keep using stock motors, you could detune them a little bit if they kept popping. With supporting mods you'd be right back in the (albeit lower end of) ballpark money-wise. You'd save some $$$$ though, which may be enough for a down payment on a used stingray in the garage too, or maybe a new one of those grand sports...

Just want to see if anyone else was also running them and if there is any difference in power using them?

With all of the built motor replies I want to check back in on who is running the lightweight pulleys with their JRSC and what type of success you may/may not be having?

I ran with a kartboy crank pulley for a couple months after I installed the JRSC, but removed and sold it. There's really no point with the power levels that we can make. You're not going to notice any difference with pulleys.

I am running all of the Perrin ones, but I'll be taking the crank pulley off and replacing it with the Fluidampr version at my builder's recommendation.

No issues from it so far as I can tell and never tested it specifically for gains either.

I had them on prior to my JRSC myself so I just left them on

So I have a c30 JRSC kit right now. I am upgrading to c38 and am trying to decide what to do. It was suggested to me, to buy a whole new c38 kit, and sell the new pieces in the kit with my c30 supercharger in it as a whole kit. My other option is to just buy the c38 upgrade kit, and sell just the c30 supercharger and mounting bracket by itself. I figure someone out there will need a replacement unit at some point, and mine only has around 15000 miles on it. But it would be wildly cheaper than a brand new c30 if someone was looking. What do you guys think would be better?

How is the c38 kit for low and mid range power? I'm looking at a 2013 frs and trying to plan ahead on which supercharger to get looking at the JRSC kit and edelbrock. Car will be an auto as it will be a daily driver. As such chances are good that I won't be in high rpms that often may do a pull on a highway or empty back road but that's about it.

JRSC has so many more Pro's than the other. More efficient, Better gas mileage, OEM like drivability, lower temps overall.
