Just let him waste his money. I feel like you have that lecture ready to be cut and pasted for anyone stating they are doing an HID mod. Which is pretty much falling on deaf ears as people will just want to do the mod anyway.

OK, since this topic isn't about HIDs vs halogens I have created a more appropriate place for this discussion to take place...

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9116

Please use this topic for discussion of the bumper removal or headlight disassembly. Thanks!

yes, I'm quoting myself, but that link now has the FR-S listed for the bi-xenon kit.

You should have masked the high beam reflector. Good job though.

FYI, The Retrofit Source released their projector HID kit. Definitely look into it.

I knew blacked out headlights would do wonders for the FR-S. Good job!

You don't need to mask the high beam reflector, when you disassemble the light it is a separate component. I painted it as an experiment to see how it would look and how well it would work. Looks A+, works F-. I predicted that and now I will deal with it.

Agreed. Definitely looks good. Bi-xenon projectors will fix the functionality I'm guessing?
