i just hope i have enough room to hook this up inside the actual door, which i think i have ample room.

here is what it looks like, its the PKT safety brake cable:

the reason this is ideal, is the clamps are small unlike mose bulky U-wire clamps, its a clean designs, and is easily adjustable with an allen key.
Intersting, does the end that hooks to the ball/cable feel secure? The ends are usally so small it may be hard for the cable to not slip off when the cable isn't taught (strap isn't pulled on.)

if you contact jason (overland designs) he can definitely make you a set, doesn't have to be black/red either.

from what i read, it should be small enough, as this is a cable from a go-kart. only time will tell

dye? honestly i did it once to an impreza who had grey headliner and wanted black, after we sprayed it, it turned all hard and felt like hard model foam (like what you'd use for a solar system school project for a kid)

but otherwise i don't have any experience, i know people have done it and it worked. what exactly are you gonna dye? isn't everything black already besides your seats?

Don't know if you've stumbled upon this on your or not, but this one does fold down. I think I'm going to get it eventually.
