Mine came back after a few days of it being quiet. It's pretty loud and feels crunchy when the clutch is almost to the floor. I keep putting on taking it to the dealership because it's over an hour drive and they want me to leave my car for 2 weeks. If all it needs is lubrication then maybe I can just tell them that and have them do it during a single visit.

Just curious, is it bad to be driving the car around with the clutch like this?

Took my car to the dealership on March 19th and still haven't heard anything back yet. I'll be calling them after work today. I'm really hoping they're almost done fixing my clutch pedal.

Just got the call that my car is ready to be picked up. I've been dying to drive it again! Hope the clutch issue is completely fixed.

So I got my car back and the creaking noise is gone, but now when I release the clutch pedal I hear a pretty loud "clank" noise..like metal hitting metal. I definitely would've noticed that before...so I'm sure it's not normal. It really sucks since the dealership is an hour away and I just got back home. Looks like I'll need to take it back and have them look at it again.

I took a video of the noise. The clanking is much louder in person I feel, but anyways...here it is. This is just me pushing in the clutch and then releasing it.

That sounds very much like http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=13.
Mine makes that noise too.

BTW, did they tell you what they did to get rid of the noise?

Interesting. It definitely didn't make that noise before I took it in. My friend has an FR-S parked right next to me. I'm gonna see how his sounds compared to mine.

I had the paper from Subaru stating what work they did, but I threw it out. I read through a little bit and it just seemed like they took the transmission out, wiped it down, and put it back in and the sound was gone. lol. I'll call them tomorrow and ask for details about the work done. I might end up taking it back just to have them check the clanking. Maybe it's a quick adjustment that they can make.

Took my 22 month old FR-S in yesterday for squeak diagnosis and is throw-out bearing that needs replacing. Covered under 5 year 60K mile Powertrain warranty. I always put the car in neutral at lights and don't ride the clutch, in fact, my 93' Lexus SC300 5 speed made it to 110K mile before needing a new clutch. I'll update when work complete, but this isn't good for a car with 24K on it.

Just an update: after receiving my car back from the dealership the clutch feels much smoother than before and very quiet as well. If you have this issue going on then don't hesitate to take it in while under warranty. My only regret was waiting so long before taking my car in.
