Dezod Dual Exit Cat Back Exhaust - Review

The Dezod Motorsports Dual Exit catback for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ.

We got on loaded up on Chris's car here and took some time to go over the system. Below are some pics of it as well as a video with sound clips.

Install is pretty standard as with any catback system, you can do this in your driveway in an hour with a buddy.

The systems comes with a resonated mid pipe which is a must for anyone running an un-catted header, and then two smaller mufflers on each rear side. The welds are top notch and overall fit and finished is spot on, no clearance issues anywhere.

The tips fill in the bumper nicely. You can see on the car in the video with a TRD rear diffuser which compliments it quite well.

No drone to my ears while going down the road. It should fit just fine with the rear T1 or T2.

Installed mine yesterday!

Driveway Labs Type 1 diffuser clearance with tips.

Disclosure, I also have a JDL catless UEL header, 2.5" overpipe and 2.5" HFC front pipe. It sounds AMAZING with the Dezod catback. Perfect tone. Zero rasp/drone. LOUD, but not too loud for tracks with sound limits. Extremely satisfied.

Here is @Roadcone 's before/after dyno showing +8whp and +5wtq on the stock tune with stock cats.

Dyno runs were performed at the same shop, JR Racing in Greenville SC, on the same dyno strapped down by the same guy and I even filled up using the same ethanol free 93 from the same pump about 20 minutes from the shop. There were 800 miles between dyno pulls and even similar amounts of cool down allowed between runs.

I don't have any personal experience with the Q300 so I can't comment on that but I have read that it's among the most quiet catbacks available.

I would say with confidence that the Dezod catback is noticeably louder than the Q300 based on the videos I've heard and the visible difference in muffler sizing.

Here's another video:

Here's my car at tail of the dragon... microphone was clipped to my tag and i'm using a GoPro HERO3 Silver. the sound gets a little scratchy a few minutes in since the extensino cable was slideing around my trunk but it clears back up about 5 minutes in.
