I just feel like for a "driver's car", why would you need to use buttons on the steering wheel in the first place? It's not like you can change modes (sport, normal, eco...or TURBO?!).

Nonetheless, I still love my Series.Blue, one of the best that Subaru has released so far imo.
Yay, another series.blue. I completely agree with you. The series.blue looks the best from the factory out of all versions between both manufacturers so far.

Oh I see. Well, I was particularly excited with the new headlights because they come off as way more aggressive while still maintaining the hawk eye/fish hook look. What they actually remind me of in aggression are the Spec D Scion tC2 headlights that I currently have (which were a direct imitation from the WRX/STI lights). What really appeals to me even more than the revamped fish hook is the blinker pattern. Obviously I am letting my mind wonder here, but it looks as if the blinkers will be a sequential blinker on the front, similar to what it looks like the back will do (look at Valenti Revo Jewels for reference). Overall I think these two features alone make it better than the original. The originals just have a standard and rather small blinker in each headlights.

Maybe the white is a real 17 and the black is a 16 they are just making the outside look like a 17 for the NY show?

The curiosity on source of these is killing me! There is no way they should ever have made it out and somebody high up is gonna be really pissed.
My thought for the black one was the same. I wouldn't think these are already in production so maybe they get a black 2016 and fitting 2017 parts onto it for NY... but that wouldn't explain why it looks like a independent shop.

Meh. I am not a transmissionist and don't hold to the MT "feels" theory.

I actually like the original better. But it still looks better than the updated toyota 86.

@1xup @j0307 and if you don't mind me asking. From the perspective of two Series.Blue owners, what are your comprehensive thoughts on the HyperBlue? I have struggled between both Release models and would like to hear your opinion on your distant release series brother/sister if you will?

The head lights look like the jdm 86 headlight bar mashed in the brz lights... While I do like this better than the 86 refresh, I still prefer some parts of the design of the 1st gen.

I think this will be personal preference though. The new ones are just as nice as the 1st gen IMO.

That interior is pretty sexy and I'm really digging the new headlights

But....da manual is bettah!

Even though, let's be honest, if you had this car in any of the transmissions, we'd all be as giddy.
