my dealership said it was a problem w/ the housing, not the tail light. which makes sense considering ppl who get it 'fixed' actually have the problem return. future models will fix it.

I got my driver-side tail light housing replaced by my dealer under warranty.

The mechanic I talked to mentioned he'd noticed the TSB but had never actually seen it happen before, so I'd guess it's pretty rare or was quickly fixed in production.

Honestly, I haven't been following this too closely since a few months after the initial reports since I haven't had the issue. There may have been other changes since then, but in either case, I'd continue to take it back until they got it right.

It would get some level of warranty but it wouldn't be a completely new 3 year warranty I don' suspect. It would be some minimum level of warranty (like 90 days to a year) or the end of the existing warranty, whichever is longest.

The headlights usually have a little rubber tube to vent. I think I remember seeing this on my Integra....

I'm almost at this point as well. I've had 2 sets replaced, then siliconed ever opening/mating are I could find and one of them still filled up like a lake.

What I did to my condensation is that I did the DIY fix but I didn't change anything everything is the same, I dry it up and then it just despair. but right now it's spring where I live i don't know it might happen again I'll just take it out and let it dry again XD.. but I wouldn't do anything that voids warranty !!!!

I think it would cause the chrome to rust faster.

Some guy who did a diy painted tail pk right. Noted that after he open and resealed the tail light. He didn't have condensation issues.

I had my tail lights changed four times and it finally stopped the condensation (then I got rear-ended fml). Anyways, just keep your head up and try replacing a couple more times. Maybe even go to a different dealership.

If you know how to do it and don't mind taking the risk of screwing them up and voiding the warranty then go for it However, I didn't know how and wasn't willing to try it for the first time on a brand new $30000 car. I was just sharing my opinion on the matter and don't really care what he ends up doing cause it's not my car.

Btw I actually didn't waste any time because my dealer was right next to my school so I just dropped it off and had them drive me to school and pick me up when I was done lol

Did they bend the metal on the frame the last time they installed?

Everything since then has a sealed compartment that water shouldn't get in. If it leaks, you fix the seal, not introduce a new opening.

I haven't had a problem yet but if I eventually do my tails will be going in the oven.
