Headers???

Okay guys probably been talked about before but here we go..... So I'm looking to get headers now that I have my OFT, so I'm looking to go either openflash headers or tsudo... My question is what's the difference between the cheaper ones and let's say tomei and borla... I don't see any difference... is it just quality, different materials, better welds?

They are all the same if you don't see the difference...

if you want a cheaper tomei, get the gruppe-s UEL. it's nearly identical to the Tomei and even made in the same factory.

Yep You Summed that up lol
Some designs improves hp a tiny bit better but tbh not very noticeable in the details so in comparison maybe one brand of header will +1hp while another will -1hp

Message @Gruppe-s here on the forums, they can sell you one. They also have a thread. Just search gruppe-s in the search function. I have one and the welds look great plus it comes with gaskets and some spare attachment hardware... And you can get an overpipe to for a small additional cost! I'm just waiting to get mine back from ceramic coating: I can't wait!!
The gruppe-s design is actually potentially better than the Tomei because the slip joints are switched to the other side of the piping, so they don't rattle against the underbody under specific conditions, like the tomei can.

I was one of the first ones to have the Gruppe-S header, and I'm still really happy with mine. Been used on my supercharged setup even for the past few months-no regrets

there's no difference between new or used, unless the used one is damaged. if there is a used one up for sale that is in good condition, then go for it. though regardless if you buy it new or used, I suggest you buy the oil pan heatshield. the new one will also come with the necessary gaskets and hardware while the used one might not.

New-they're cheap enough already, might as well get new right off the bat. Some stuff makes sense buying used, but the gruppe-s is pretty cheap to begin with+if for some reason something was wrong you're covered. (there have been no issues to my knowledge with gruppe-s).

eh, it was blown out of proportion pretty badly-when borla had warped flanges/noisy flexpipes everyone jumped on the band wagon.

BUT, Borla stood by their customers and got people replacements no questions asked.

And the issues with the Borla headers have long been fixed.
