Comparing TDB to HoW is like comparing s**t to chocolate. I'm glad to see Bungie has at least learned what REAL additional content should look like. The delayed content release was not in vain. The sad part is HoW doesn't even have an official raid. |

Didn't they say they were releasing a fallen raid in the future because the CE backlash was so strong?

Yes but they have neither confirmed or denied whether or not it will come at an additional cost. So with that being said, I'm not sure whether or not we can count it as HoW content if you eventually have to pay for it.

You guys sound impressed with the new DLC. I'm gonna have to check it out this weekend. Been having too much fun on my PC. Hope to play with some of you again, its been ages. I'll probably suck for awhile though haha.

If TDB left a sour taste in your mouth, HoW is a vastly improved experience. They've made a lot of tweaks and changes that make everything better. Hell, you can even ascend original 27-light armor and 300-dmg weapons (inc. VoG stuff) to max level if you wanted to. The invite to my 100 group still stands!

It's still not exactly packed with content, but more than CE.
Reef - cool space, a bit redundant, kept the tower relevant by keeping the vendors out of the reef. New Fallen public events - way better than swords, Petra has bounties that make them relevant too. Story missions - 6 of them, were well done although not quite enough new areas Strike - might be my new favorite strike, good pacing, sorta fun chasing the boss through his ship Prison - fast paced and intense. I've only done 28 (easy) and 32 (much harder). More fun and less frustrating than Crota, but it's not a raid, mechanics are pretty basic. Haven't spent much time in the crucible yet but the drops are improved by a crazy amount and you also get way more marks and rep.

I don't feel like each content pack needs a raid to justify the price, as long as the rest of the content is sufficient. We got Prison of Elders instead this time, and I'm a lot more excited for that to be honest.

I finally logged back into Destiny to do the new story missions and Strike, and actually was a bit surprised at how much I enjoyed them. They were very well done, as f0rge said.
I'll try my hand at PoE and the new Crucible maps this weekend probably. I did like being able to immediately ascend my exotic gear to the new lvl cap by just using Exotic Shards and basic materials and a bit of glimmer. That was very nicely done. |

I've already completed levels 28 and 32 for PoE. If you play a hunter you're probably going to have a bad time. Consider having a Titan as a backup.
I main a hunter so this was very disappointing as I've basically made that character my PvP character until I level my Titan to 34. |

I main a hunter as well, but I have a 32 lock I could try as well. My Titan is still at lvl 30 for now, since it is my least favorite to play, and I only really have time to consistently play 1 character.

That works as well. Using the hunter is completely doable, however, it will just require much more concentration and effort to stay alive than the Titan and Warlock. I guess if you want to get technical that's always been the case for the hunter class though...

I like the new content so far. Still have to do the last story and the strike, haven't tried PoE yet.

Hunter master race!
Gonna try to organize a PoE tonight with a few friends. I'll let you know how it goes. I just found out a couple hours ago that in the nightfall, one of our guys got the boots that give double jump an extra jump. Well, that works with triple jump too, so quad jump. Now I need some. |
