My BRZ is at 30,000km (not miles) and is running insanely healthy, should mine go in as it's too early to tell if the engine will have valve spring issues?

Why do you say it's too early to tell. None of us will ever really know. Valve spring on your Ford Focus might fail. No matter how good techs get at doing this job, the fact remains that the probability of failure due to the intervention is orders of magnitude greater than that of the original concern.

Here's a video of the flake.
It's not knocking, but i did hear very light ticking occasionally. Can it be left over material from last engine? I saved the oil and filter.

I just got my car back two weeks ago and I just noticed today that it's leaking oil out of the driver's side of the engine (not puddles, but definitely leaking and it never did before) and I see bits of RTV when I pull the dipstick. I plan to bring it back to the dealership ASAP.

Is there anything I should do in particular regarding this? I feel like there's a good chance the motor will be trash sooner or later if RTV is making the rounds. I'm documenting everything as best as I can with pictures and e-mails to the shop manager (for paper trail of when the problems occurred). I also saved a paper towel from when I wiped the dipstick with bits of RTV on it.

Yes. I asked in his life stream and turns out the next few days made the video. Shocking, right?

I would say his views are a bit biased and frankly subjective. While tearing apart the motor, as we've seen, has been problematic this issue could have happened to any manufacturer. His belief that it's just Subaru fail isn't helped by his eccentric behavior.

Oh that guy. I made it a record 2 seconds and 74 hand waves into the video until I decided I had better things to do.
