2015 Toyota Camry
Almost 2000 New Parts And One New Sport Treatment
Toyota spent a lot of time at the drawing board with this one. Making its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show is the refreshed 2015 Toyota Camry, which has a new look and is packed with almost 2000 new parts to make the sedan quieter, roomier, and even a bit sportier. To give the 2015 Camry its new look, Toyota replaced almost every body panel. The roof is the only remnant from the pre-refreshed model. Among the many changes up front are new LED daytime running lamps and the availability of full LED headlights. Inside, passengers will find a revised dashboard, center stack, improved materials, and additional fancy contrast French stitching on higher trim levels. Aside from its new look, the 2015 Toyota Camry will have new and improved technology. Heavy smartphone users should consider the Camry's optional wireless charging system, which is similar to the one introduced in the Avalon sedan. The system is located in a new enclosed storage bin in front of the shifter that also houses the 12V and USB ports. Highlighting the revised instrument panel is a 4.2-inch color screen that better displays vehicle, navigation, and entertainment info. Toyota also says the cabin is quieter. The new side view mirrors, for example, reduce wind turbulence, while improved door and window seals and thicker carpet keep out more noise. Toyota says the new Camry will be roomier, though complete dimensions haven't been released. The 2015 Camry is 1.8 inches longer and its track has been widened by a mere 0.4 inch to improve its stance. To improve the Camry's experience from behind the wheel, Toyota revised the electric power steering system to improve on-center feel, straight-line stability, and feedback. The automaker also installed a new two-stage brake booster to improve brake feel. More spot welds were made to improve body rigidity, and the 2015 Camry gets more varied suspension tuning depending on trim levels. Speaking of which, a new XSE model joins the lineup, slotting above the SE in terms of sportiness. The 2015 Toyota Camry XSE will feature stiffer bushings and coil springs, unique shock absorbers, revised steering tuning, and exclusive 18-inch rims. The Camry SE, which was added to the hybrid model in the middle of the 2014 model year, will continue, along with the base LE and the range-topping XLE models. No changes were made under the hood, which means the 178-hp 2.5-liter inline-four and the 268-hp 3.5-liter V-6 will carry over, along with the six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid will also continue with its 2.5-liter I-4, electric motor, and CVT. Fuel economy figures will likely stay the same. The current 2014 Camry with the 2.5-liter I-4 is EPA rated at 25/35 mpg city/highway, while the V-6 achieves 21/31 and the LE Hybrid returns 43/39 (Hybrid XLE and SE gets 40/38). |

They made the grill shockingly ugly to counteract the sleep-inducing effects of driving it.

That grill looks like it was taken off of some kind of whale, a kind that eats krill.

I hope everyone knows that we are also possibly looking at the future front fascia of the 86/FRS.

I don't mind the front grill too much since that's the general direction all new Toyota models are going (just look at the corolla). As for the rest of the car, I kind of like it. Not too bad.

I....what?
I actually like the redesign. This car has come a long way. To be honest, I had an XLE as a rental while my car was in for some service a while back, and I admittedly was quite impressed, the V6 actually presses you back in the seat. |

Still a fan of the 2010 Camry SE with the Sarona ground effects kit (stock). Kind of reminds me of NASCAR lol
