So..... Just choose the upgrade to drain without removing? Sounds more practical as far that weight amount geesh seems crazy as that weight is more center of car anyhow?

Having a 300lb football player in the passenger seat is even more center of the car than the battery. Should be fine too?

$450 for a catch can is probably the worst deal i could imagine when modifying a car. not saying they're not beautiful, because they are, but that price is bat-shit insane.

It is only 220 for one catch can. That is still expensive! But for 425 gets you both.

That's because your paying for quality. Anyway, this is the type of mod for people who actually care about their cars, not the fast n furious crowd.
Preventative maintenance goes a LONG way!! Like.. not having a fire extinguisher when your engine bay is on fire. You'd wish you'd had it!

LOL...I love your enthusiasm, but If I showed up to the track with $400+ catch can and ran 14's, I'd be laughed out of the track. Not saying these aren't absolutely beautiful, but don't bash someone and call them a ricer because they can make a $50 can perform the same.

I didn't call him specifically a ricer. And FYI running 14's is NOT a track.. it is a drag strip. Lining up a Zx6(unless it's F/I'ed), your going to get laughed at anyway.

Anyway, these catch cans are PURE automotive art, akin to my $700 AUD set of Mithril lug nuts and my heat wrap, derived from pulverized lava rock and stranded into a fiber material and woven into a proprietary weave
Nothing but the best for my precioussss

It's a $25k car. $700 lug nuts? Really?

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Whatever makes you enjoy it.

$25k? I wish, I'm in Australia, it's at least $40k.

What do you do to prevent galling? Do you run titanium lug bolts too?
_________

I like that these are well made and modular, plus have actual fluid dynamic research behind them. I've seen stories of untested and unresearched catch cans doing all sorts of weird things including doing absolutely nothing and somehow filling up too fast. There also those of us that do not find it more cost effective to acquire parts and fab our own catch cans compared to just buying a solid unit off the shelf that is already proven. Swapping around inferior parts or DIYing can actually cost more in the end when you factor in wasted time and energy along with cost. Some things are worth my time, others are not.

I should!

@jamesm: Yeah I'm serious too, its $599 for these 100% Ti lugs from TiKore:
http://store.tikore.com/subaru-wrx-s...d-lug-nut-set/
USD to AUD conversion is around $668 not including the ridiculous freight charge Skippy's have to cover whenever things get shipped from US to AU($75 AUD to ship my RadiumAuto Dual Catch Cans for instance).

They are a thing of beauty though.. Form follows Funktion

Ok this is last thing I will say on the cost. Yes these are expensive and there are reasons for that extra cost that has already been covered. I personally went with these because of the aesthetics and prior experience with other brands on other cars. The other "name" brand cans I have had did their job to my knowledge, but they did not look as good in my opinion. Additionally the quality of build and material was far less. I do not mind paying double the cost for this kit than most other kits on the market, because in my experience my other catch cans have been less than half the quality of this kit. In my opinion this is like buying an apple computer over a PC. Hopefully this gave people insight as to why I chose to spend extra money on this kit than others.

Yes it's kinda pricey but this is actually one of the very few options for us RHD owners. The Cusco one is too much bling for my taste and probably just as expensive.
