Cool - it sounds like their version is a "toe in the water" to see how well they fare in deviating from all AWD.

Just today I was thinking about how disappointed I'd be if I saw all the scion fr-s drivers running around town while I patiently wait for my subaru. Sort of like on the Simpsons when Homer had to wait a week to get his gun but kept seeing things everyday that he could have been shooting.
I'm glad my wait will only be till spring 2012...that's not even a year away!

Where in the statement did it once mention the FT86 and where did it mention the spring release?
Did I miss this? I saw 3 planned new models + 1 hybrid. But nothing on the FT86. |

Cheers. Missed that bit.
Although does "A jointly developed rear-wheel drive sports car will be launched in spring 2012" guarantee that they are referring to a Subaru model rather than just the Toyota one? |

Yes it guarantees the Subaru version, at least here in NA. Just read SOA blog to get more info. It is coming.

Craving some information on the pricing expectation of the STI version of the 216a. 2000RS whatever it's called. Lol

It's only a suggestion/rumor at this point, right? If Subaru would confirm plans for an STI version, that'd be awesome. Otherwise, holding out in hopes for one could end up being a waste of time.
