Thanks. The only reason for the -1.0 camber in the rear was to get the most amount of traction when accelerating on straights.

To increase grip in straight line floored acceleration, i'd try to get as even as possible rear camber between sides, and add slight toe-in. With stock alignment, which was all around imprecise, i had to be very careful with throttle in winter even in straights. Now even if rear wheels slip during acceleration, rear won't dance around requiring lot of corrections.

Could you explain this a little more please? How do you tell the spring is still properly damped? Thank you!

No damper adjustment, but great valving that just works.

You might need camber plates to get that fitment right, and I would also recommend rear LCAs. I'm starting to recommend rear toe arms more often because I do not like the OEM piece as it's inconsistent. You do not "need" them though. Skip the swaybars to start. There's a couple bushings that I would recommend. If you're interested I can put together a package for you.

Is there any news on release date, spring rates, comparative ride quality, damping, top hat compatibility, pricing... etc?

Thanks!

Check with essex for support...I'd trust their instructions!

Full details soon. Still hoping for spring time release. I hate the delay but not much we can do.

From the driver's seat, if you feel excessive bouncing after a bump that means there's not enough rebound. A little bit of "overshoot" is okay, but if it keeps going and going that's a problem. Too much rebound would be sort of "undershooting" where it actually takes too long to reach equilibrium again.

Critically damped (100% critically damped) means no overshoot, but doesn't necessarily mean the best ride quality or handling.

Hi guys,

I think my camber plates are in need of a rebuild.

Is it ok to install the stock front suspension and run that in tandem with RCE spring on a bilstein? I would get an alignment to compensate for the different toe, but just want to know if I can drive the car like this for 1-2 weeks.

That would be fine, I'd just drive carefully. You could also just put some stock top mounts on your Bilsteins + RCE springs.

Hi there,

I have a set of AST5100 and planning to use OEM Top Hats, do I need camber bolts to achieve -2 deg front camber? Or the coilovers itself has a slotted hole so I can reuse factory bolts to achieve the -2 deg.

Thanks!

I have been told to replace the factory BRZ bolts with OEM WRX STI bolts but I am not sure if that's necessary or if it fits.

This thread also says do not use OEM 14mm bolt on the slotted hole. So what bolt shall I use? I am confused, Thanks!

Not sure on the first questions but here's my input for the quoted bit:

any camber bolt can slip. That's why it important to recheck them every so ofter (like before/after a track day, when you rotate tires, etc)

I have ran the 14mm OEM bolt with my slotted AST 4150 for 2 track days and almost 10k street miles without issue (this includes canyon runs as well). Take it for what it's worth, but

I posted this question in the other thread regarding the USDM STI springs but couldn't get a clear answer, I am re-posting it here. I apologize in advance for being redundant.

Why are the USDM STI springs (B2010CA000) "not applicable to Limited with Performance Package"?

We know the lowering springs such as the RCE yellows have not changed over the years and they work well with the PP Sachs dampers. Following that logic, why wouldn't the USDM STI springs work well with or be "applicable to" the Sachs dampers?
