Only way you're going to find out is to try with the specific tire you plan to run. Personally I run 235/45/17 Pilot Super Sports with stock suspension and don't rub at all at full lock.

I'm on 17x8 5x114.3 STI BBS wheels on 15mm adapter spacers with 225/55R17 studless Blizzak tires and I just BARELY rub up front on the lower front fender at a slight angle when turning the wheel. Otherwise at full lock it passes just fine.

I don't know how you're rubbing at all with 235/45R17 tires on a 17x8 +48 wheels. I'm about to have 235/45R17 2011 WRX tires mounted on the STI BBS wheels and I know I won't rub at full lock-to-lock. If I'm wrong, however, I'll let you know.

That all being said, 225/45R17 is basically stock tire dimensions, so unless your stock wheels and tires rubbed, you'll be fine. I had 225/45R17 all-seasons for a bit on my stock wheels, but I had them mounted on the rear wheels.

Well, we're talking about WRX wheels which are +53 offset like your STi BBS rims but without spacers. Also it's worth noting that ultra high performance summer tires usually have wider tread vs. an all season. Mine are close but with OEM suspension I have had no issues.

Yeah, I was alluding to that. I honestly don't recall having any issues with my BRZ on stock 2011 WRX wheels and spacers. I hooned that thing like crazy too!

It's true, I haven't have much opportunity to have wider tires on sunken wheels.

On stock suspension and alignment, you should be fine.

I use a 5mm spacer all the way around. Stock suspension, Whiteline camber bolts with oem crash bolts for more negative camber up front and the rim is very close to the spring perch. No contact or rub with 225/45 rs3s.

Ok considering buying a set with tires for $800 but for the last time is this correct.

Stock suspension: Fit?
Coilcovers" Fit?

Lowering springs: No go?

Thanks guys

Stock suspension: yes

Coliovers & lowering springs: Dependent on camber. Use a spacer to run negative camber or use camber adjustment to return camber to ~0 (stock spec) to avoid spring perch clearance issues if you don't want to use a spacer.

Someone's selling these used for 300$ thinking of this as a winter setup, should I pull the trigger on em? I just got my car 2 weeks ago and it came with the the trd forged wheels so I'll keep those for the summer.
