Folks with the TRD spoiler...

...how does yours fit?

I installed one this week, and I'm not totally knocked out by the fit. There's no way to get all the surfaces flush; if I have the top properly positioned, the lower corners by the tailights are just slightly (1/16" or less) 'lifted'. If I push those flush, the top corners lift. It doesn't seem to conform perfectly to the trunk contour.

It's not all that big a deal, worst case is a little water gets underneath, and I'm sure that was gonna happen anyway. And it's not noticeable unless you're looking for it (especially since my car is black). Just wondered if "they're all that way".

Do you have the original TRD spoiler or a replica? The originals fit perfectly and comes with a rubber gasket to prevent water from getting through. The replicas are hit or miss propositions on the other hand. I used to have a replica which just did not want to fit flush and kept peeling off especially after a rain and dry cycle. I got rid of them and went with the original instead.

Original on mine

I cut the original bolts off and fitted with tape and the original rubber stripping fits perfectly. Looks great with the factory aero kit (Nur Spec) replacing the big wing.

Same here. Fits perfect, and I cut out the mounting bolts and just used double sided tape that was provided.

Required, not really. It has two bolts; they're located on the centerline of the two innermost holes in the decklid (if you have the factory spoiler), but are about an inch further outside. The intention is, you drill those holes and use the nylon pushnuts supplied. I did this.

But the bolts are molded into attachment points that are themselves attached to the spoiler with adhesive. So technically, the thing is 100% adhesive-mounted - and you could remove the bolts and just use tape. However there's no way to get adhesive in the area where the bolts are, so you'd not have that part of the thing supported if you don't drill.

Two holes. Takes about 5 seconds.
After you've taken an hour to convince yourself that those holes are correctly marked!

Don't know. I've had it on four or five times, I've been able to line it up fine (took a while to figure out), but after a day or so the left lower edge pulls away from the lid a little. Always the same.

I've given up; will be selling it.

Not exactly - over the driver side taillamp. The 'corner' at the extreme left bottom.

There's probably 1/16" gap between the gasket edge and the trunk lid. I can push it back and it will stay, but the next day it's back out.

I originally thought it was compromised adhesive, or maybe I wasn't getting the pad up on the horizontal surface positioned sufficiently forward...but I've remounted it so many times, now I just figure either it or my lid is 'off'.

Mine fits fine. I'm extra picky about this stuff, and haven't had an issue. I routinely go check and pull on it to make sure its secure and flush.
