Winter driving does take it's toll on other parts though.

My last 4 cars all had so many miles on them that they were valueless at trade in anyway. I traded them anyway just to not have the hassle of selling privately. The only reason I sold the FRS privately was because I had sentimental attachment to it and wanted to see it go to just the right home.
As it was the original plan was to trade the FRS for another after 4 years and then buy a Jag Type F as my retirement car. I threw that plan out the window about 2 years into the FRS. The Hakone is the perfect iteration of the car for my tastes and it will stay forever now. Sorry Jaguar you lost a sale!

Swapped out the HKS dual resonated for a FT86MS catted and resonated. Catless life wasn't for me.

Sorry but can't find that front pipe, can you provide the link if possible?

See lots of Jagwaaars, driven by people of certain age.. just can't marry up the loud exhaust with the person driving.. They do sound good though...

It was probably for the best.
The Jag would likely see more time in the shop than in its natural environment....unless the shop IS its natural environment.

I was really using "rusting out" more as to what you referenced later (winter being hard on car parts in general). I suppose in the end most of that would be what I consider maintenance anyway, as you would expect suspension, etc to wear out over time.

Oh rusting out was a very apt description for cars up here from the fifties through the late 90s. Only the last 20 years have they made things that can keep floors and trunks intact for more than 4 or 5 years.
