I'm gonna wait a few years before I started heavily modding my car. It's just too soon yet... and I'm not just waiting for my warranty to expire, but I'm also waiting out all of the R&D that's still going on. If I'm gonna mod my car, I wanna mod it right the first time. That means proper internals (forged, 10:1 compression, etc), cams designed for boost, a well designed twin scroll turbo setup (especially the headers), etc. I'd hate to invest in a bunch of parts now, just to have to sell them and buy different parts a few years later.

Just my $0.02

EDIT: I hope more companies dive into the FA20 and start developing more stuff. I still haven't seen any mention of cams, anywhere.

Yeah I have yet to really put the screws to my FBM built engine. Money, weather and fuel won't allow for it this year. I'm telling you this though the stock tranny WILL NOT LAST to big horsepower for long, the internals are TINY!

Yes last October,....and calamities along the way just like 300,....each calamity brought subsequent strengthening and improvements when we have had to go back in...blown cat=destroyed turbo, upgraded turbo....maxed out fuel system on e85=fuel system upgrade....then the last one,..crushed rod bearings=rod bearing upgrade ,...might as well do the heads since they are off....so I ordered the Ferrea race valve set. Since we sent the pistons back to Aria for examination (they wanted to examine wear as this was the first Fa20 set they would see used)...... we did a mold of the combustion chamber with the new valve set for them,...I got free new Arias pistons designed around the new valve set......but all of this started last October and the concept of what I wanted has remained the same,....if things hadn't broke or errors made I would be driving my car today......I watch this build closely as it mirrors mine.......and believe me I feel your pain. Not only that my relationship with the shop that's doing the build has gone sour,...I wont go into details but it seems like the same thing is happening here.

But it's guys like you and Frs300 that are paving the way for guys like me. Think of your headaches and financial investments as a huge community service to the rest of us. I want to thank you guys for being pioneers, and taking the risks that less fortunate people like myself cannot undertake right now.
