This might be a stupid question but how to you torque the filter to spec? In the past with other cars I have just gotten it hand tight and that was fine.

^As Koa said, usually hand tight is fine. My Honda filters have instructions on them as to how far to turn the filter beyond hand tight. In any case, we are not talking about a lot of torque here.
EDIT: You can always use a torque wrench on it if that makes you feel more comfortable about things. Last edited by Marrk; 02-24-2015 at 04:41 PM. |

Photo would be awesome. So I suppose oil has to be between those two holes, close to the upper one? |

Even though it has been a while since Toyota updated their part number for the FRS oil filter. I do not see the part number being post here. The part number is 90915-YZZS1 and it is only used by the FRS.

I tried to change my oil this morning and for the life of me I can't get the drain plug out. I'm using a 14mm socket wrench, it seems to fit fine, but I can pull on the nut so hard that the rest of my body moves and it still won't budge. Any advice on how to get this thing out?
Also, I'm putting in 5W-30 motor oil instead of OW-20. The manual says this is fine and so do other people I've heard from. Anyone ever have any bad experiences with this? |

Stupid noob question but what is the factory oil drain plug torque specs? For some reason I'm having a hard time finding it. I'm pretty sure it's 33ftp but I'd like to make sure. Thanks in advance.
