Gas mileage???

I've had my car for a week and half already and I am close to the end of my 2nd fill up. I have 350 miles on the odometer and according to the ODO TRIP meter, I am averaging about 18mpg. I am driving an AT. Why is my MPG not as good as I thought??

Cars economy is very dependent on how you drive it and driving conditions.

Drive aggressively (heavy throttle accelerating hard) in city up/down hills ect. it will get economy like your getting

Drive sedately light throttle below 4000 rpm in flat countryside and it will get much better economy.

Make sure your using 93 fuel if possible, 91 fuel will get worse economy and slightly less performance

new motors usually get a bit worse economy than normal for first couple of thousand miles.

Your car is not even broken in yet. Might want to wait a few more full ups. Just make sure you reset your average mpg odo.
