I ran a set of wilwood's on my s2000 and my old civic Si and was EXTREMELY happy with both sets. In both cases, the improvement over stock was dramatic, both in sudden stops and also with track use.

Well, back from dinner a bit late. Had a few cocktails downtown tonight :happy0180:

Nonetheless, here are the clearance and measurement shots of the AP Sprint kit and Enkei 17x9 +35 RPF1.

Using a spark plug gap and feeler tool to measure clearance. This was measured at the point where the spoke of the wheel had the least clearance.

Clearance for the AP Sprint kit with this particular wheel was measured at 2.45mm

2mm recommended minimum clearance.

it's on the inside of the spokes. if it flexes over 2.45mm there you're not just running race slicks on a road course, you're crashing the vehicle. if that clearance was on the outside edge of the spokes, maybe your flex theory would work, just not in the area the brakes are.

i don't think we can account flex at that part of the wheel, hence I'm pretty sure it won't contact, sorry if I didn't make it clear.

Correct, since it is at one of the stronger points of the wheel where the clearance is the closest.

We're excited to get this thing out of the shop once it warms up. Might be tomorrow. We shall see, roads are pretty salty yet.

I'd have to find the article I read, but it was GRM talking about their results where some heavier versions of the same wheel was faster in autox/track use than lighter versions because the wheel didn't have as much flex between the hub and the rim, in other words, across the spokes.

I would say that the farther in the less flex will be an issue. There's also heat related expansion to consider though. I've seen an EVO at the track have wheel to caliper contact when it never did on the street, no real damage but the owner was confused by it, whether he did something wrong (side loading impact for example) or it was just heat/flex I'm not sure.

Either way, 2mm is enough and there looks to be even more than the 2mm available here so it should be fine anyways. I think Brembo says 3mm though. Either way, with that measurement from Jeremy I'd rock it until they hit
