18 x 8 Rims with Pilot Super Sport 245/35/18
Hi guys -
Being from Alaska, on October 1, 2015 each resident Alaskan will be receiving a $2,072.00 check for the Permanent Resident Fund (PFD). I am looking into getting a new wheel set up for the BRZ and wanted to see y'alls input on any brand, dimension, weight, etc for the best overall ride. Right now, since I am looking to clone the STi look - I am going towards a multi-spoke, Hyper Silver set up with extra wide tires (Michelin Pilot Super Sport) 245/35/18. I have stock suspension and just want to be able to bolt the new ones in flush, with no need for any adapters, spacers, etc. Please all you suggestions and input will help. Estimate of my ideal setup going to buy today: Costco.com - $70 off a set of 4 MSS Tires $800.00 Tirerack.com - 18x8 ASA Hyper Silver Wheels $1,040.00 Total Cost $1,840.00 shipping and installation included. -mixedjuice |

18s with stock suspension will look very 4x4. But then again, that might be an advantage in Alaska.

You mean it will look bulky? @kch
I don't plan to run the car in the winter, but in the rain yes. But still want to keep that sports car look and feel to the vehicle What would you suggest for a stock suspension 2015 BRZ |

I think you might get closer to the STI look with 235/40/18's, or even a set of 225/40's that run wide. Either way, it will look incomplete unless you at least do a modest drop of 3/4 - 1". Mine did on 18x8 and 225/40's and it annoyed me every day until it warmed up for me to put my springs on.
here is 225/40/18 on 18x8 +42 for reference before I lowered mine. I was going for a similar look. If you really don't want to lower, want less weight and a better ride, I would agree with kch that 17's are a better option. +35 will poke in the front with wheels 8" or bigger. Opposite of needing spacers. You would need spacers if your offset was too high and your wheel/tire was going to hit your struts. |

I know you're all eager to be outraged at something after watching John Oliver, but this isn't what you should be angry about. Edit: also, keep this shit off these forums. |
