Congrats! Sweet color.

I jumped ship this past April. I needed something with four doors that was a little less raw. Both cars are great, but the STi ticks more boxes for me.

Are we gonna see you on iWSTi.com?

If I get one it would be a DGM WRX. I think it's more what I'm looking for. I do like the STI's though just like the newer engine and cheaper price tag of the WRX lol. Regardless definitely like the look of the new WRX/STI better. I will say both forums I have been on though were a lot less user friendly than this one. If I end up getting this new job I'll have to get something more practical and a little more professional looking so I may be switching then.

If I do I'll definitely go with the following mods:
Mishimoto j-pipe
Mishimoto Intake with box
Cobb Accessport
Perrin shifter stop
Anarchy Motive shift knob
FRS seat swap (maybe lol, now that I saw it I want it)

Maybe. The only two I'm on right now are my local forum: OKSC, and then NASIOC, which is garbage.

How is iwsti?

Actually, doing that is far better for the center diff than leaving it on automatic if you're driving hard.

The trans has a known failure point of something around.... 650 torque...

I've just heard stories of people leaving their cars in that setting and driving around and freaking out when the car starts making crazy noises.

I've always been told to just leave it in auto. Auto - for rear bias. Auto + for front bias

Man, I dunno if it's the angle, color, wing, or what, but it looks so much wider... I didn't think this generation STI was wider than the WRX?

Just the angle; the bodies are identical.

The car *looks* wide due to the aggressive fender flares, but it's actually quite narrow when you park it next to a Corolla/Camry/Etc.

Congrats on the sti. There are a lot of track guys on iwsti. When I was there they didn't really like hardparkers but that may have changed. I liked iwsti. It's like here but less kids and less bitching.

I can see picking up a 2015 sti used in a few years when we have kids.

What's a hardparker?

For whatever reason I keep getting into arguments with people on IWSTi about the benefits of rev-matching and heel-toeing. I say do it and then get berated for doing so. Why wouldn't you rev-match when you downshift?

That's weird. Not sure why you wouldn't rev match to downshift. A hardparker is someone who modifies their car solely for looks.

Someone who parks hard instead of driving hard.

Got it. Thanks.

I like the folks here better than over there. But there is some pretty decent STi specific info over there.
