I had the new revised fuel pump installed about 12000 miles ago. It's been over 75 degrees in to the low 80's for about the past week and I still have no crickets.

I would never have paid out of pocket for the new fuel pump, but it was covered for free and my local dealership has a good reputation, so why not? That's part of the reason I bought the car new was to have the warranty perks.

Does anyone know if this TSB exists for the Canadian market? I run Ultra 94 so the car chirps all the time during the warmer months.

I have no idea what the hell is going on, but my crickets are gone as of last fall (still on my original fuel pump). I've been on several tanks of 93 since then (from mid-October last year til early March), as well as 4 tanks of E85 (from early March til now). Go figure.

Its the ethanol in the fuel. I think someone in the GTA is on their 3rd pump, including the newest revision, and it still chirps. Have you tried Esso 91?

That's what I meant by "or not."

Rather spend money replacing perfectly good wheels.

Yah I'm aware of it being the ethanol. When I use Shell V-Power 91, the chirps go away. The reason I run Ultra 94, is because of my current tune. I chose the power over the chirping

I'll take your word for it though. If it's not a sure fix, then no point touching it. In all honesty, the chirping doesn't bug me that much at all, I just figured that if there was an easy, free of charge (warranty) fix for it, then I might as well consider it, but if it's not sure-fire then it's no big deal. Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it

However there is large precedence that the fuel pump chirp has affected modified and unmodified cars alike.

Be nice and professional when you take the car in, but know what you are entitled to with your warranty (how many miles do you have anyway? I am at just about 60k and I bought mine in September of 2012). Keep in mind that if you are no longer in the warranty period, the HPFP replacement will not be covered under warranty.
I have a 2013 with about 35,000 miles on it. And i havent touched the fuel system. Thanks bro ima go and see what they say

Take it elsewhere.

BTW, had mine installed a week ago. No crickets. Not gonna use fuel containing Ethanol to see how it fares.

Exactly... There is no specific measurement for that. Get a second opinion.
