To this I would add: "special snowflake" has turned into a common ad hominem and now carries far more weight than it typically did. Usually thrown in with a number of other common fallacious argument tricks.

In this case, the sticker might be considered a disarming technique; embrace the accusation as specious, even if accurate, and allow focus once again on the subject at hand.

It is often a great (of not sobering or even mortifying) opportunity to observe Dunning-Kruger in full effect if you hear this being used to describe someone (at least, within American politics at the moment).

Go enjoy the special class and make it a success.

Don't know yet what it means but I updated my title for the time being.

Has anyone paid to have this kit installed?

My current living arrangements won’t allow me to install it myself so I will be calling around tomorrow to get quotes. I have absolutely no idea what to expect as I’ve never paid for this. I’m in the Phoenix market, we have a few known shops (Goodspeed, Subiworx) and my local club referred me to two individuals who sound quite competent.

I’m just looking for an idea of what to expect so I have some context going into this.

Our local autox shop here in NJ charges $650. See the link below for details of what that includes.

I'd like to point out too that you shouldn't just go for the cheapest quote. You're going to be autocrossing the car and want the kit to be working optimally. Shitty mechanics tend to ignore things like lubing bushings, torque specs/sequence, bushing preload, etc. Good shops charge more because they do better work. I'd spend the extra couple hundred bucks and find a reputable racing shop to install it.

To be fair there isn't much to this kit installation. If you know how to torque things down you're pretty much set. Preload and the like can be handled by a good alignment tech.

Hoping treadwear rating gets revised in the mid Jan announcement and A7 is the spec tire.

Note, after two events I think I've already busted one of the stock front end links... which was something I figured was bound to happen with that massive front bar.

Yeah what the shit? We've got way more than two events on concrete, with 3-4 drivers per event, and have zero issues with front links, rear camber or rear links.

Are your lots rallycross fields?

It's not like the thing is ripped apart, but the joint is damaged and expelling grease. The thing had been sitting in the attic for years not being used, so who knows how it was feeling when it got installed again.

I haven't noticed any issues with the rear.
