Engine temperature

The temperature gauge reads below the mid point even in hot weather, anyone notice this? All my other subarus ran hotter. Am I going to have a problem in cold weather?

From what I understand, it only moves during drastic temperature changes. So if it's too hot it'll go from that mid point to suddenly hot.

^ What he said.
The stock "gauge" isn't really accurate. It functions more as a trouble indicator like the "idiot lights" in cars that don't have gauges (slightly more functional, but not much).

I think its pretty accurate. Put the heat on full blast next time you start it. The gauge will move up a lot slower than usual which to me indicates it is pretty accurate.
