Yep. That post sounded a little harsh. I should mention I am said track junky. They do look cool if that is what you are going for. My car will certainly never win any car show awards.

Is it possible that because of all this slop that adding a strut tower bar would be a noticeable improvement?
Andrew said it better than I would have. Also, of all the strut bars that I've seen, Grimmspeed's is the only one that I would consider to be functional.

Just wanted to point out that the front control arms rely on the front struts for support, and that’s why it can be a good idea to brace the tops. This car has its strut towers very close to the firewall which is great, but also utilizes the V bar design which seems to be more functional than a horizontal bar. Looking at grimmspeeds data and notes, the oem v bar system is so good that their bar only made a nominal improvement. Not saying their bar is bad, but just the factory setup is so good.

As RCE said the rears are shocks and the rear control arms do not rely on the shocks for support. I wouldn’t drive the car with the rear spring/shock assembly not in there, but the control arm is supported by the hub and will not fall down like the fronts upon a shock/spring disconnect. Overall the multi link in the rear is way more robust than the front McPherson setup.

We also have what is called a trunk which adds more rigidity than our Subaru hatchback counterparts.

Although, I am liking the look of the Beatrush rear bar for style points. It also looks like I could fit my golf clubs between it, maybe secure it even more with bungie cords.

Try the TRD brace kit and strut bar, you'll change your mind.
