Side note, Valentis lack a side reflector, which is required by law, therefore those taillights are illegal. You can argue about light emission through the tint but they can get you for the side reflector so be careful.
That’s what I keep thinking, what the hell was CHP doing wayyy out there? But thanks for the heads up about the side reflector. If I get some reflective tape and stick it on the side, could that work?

While I dont know if I would fight the exhaust portion. With enough messing around I could make a stock car get close to 95 db easily.
That’s what I was thinking, about sticking the mic in the exhaust. My buddy told me when he got his tested they were a few feet away, so this kinda grinded my gears. While I don’t plan on contesting the noise level even though he probably got me on some BS, (because I’m too lazy to reinstall stock headers and exhaust), I’ll look into getting reflective tape onto the side of my tail lights.

It is supposed to be lit on the side. Reflective isn't enough

Oh yeah a light too. Reason why I got the revos; while technically not DOT Approved, they have a side reflector and light, a little more visible than the original valenti's imo.

Has anyone here ever actually gotten a ticket for not having side reflectors? I have JDM TOM's which don't, but have never had any issues from cops. I also have white LEDs in my front side markers. I think because they are OEM looking enough, it doesn't cause an issue.

I've been pulled over by CHP, but they just wanted to compliment me on the car.

General rule I tend to follow which seems to work. Don't speed and don't be loud, you're fine, no problem. Unless the cop wants to be nitpicky and rude about all other mods...

Thats usually true. But i also know if I get pulled over for any violation I was just lucky to be let off until the point.

Yep. I have 2 cars without front plates. I'm breaking the law, I expect to get pulled over.

I forgot to mention I don't have a front plate either!

But I wont complain if I do get ticketed for it. Or my lights for that matter.

I dont think anyone got ticketed for side markers, but I know a member of our group got a ticket for his Valentis last year in Fremont.

They got tagged for both side markers (not orange in color) and lack of side reflectors in the valentis.
