"Now the boys all thought I'd lost my sense
And telephone poles looked like a picket fence.
They said, "Slow down! I see spots!
The lines on the road just look like dots."
Took a corner; sideswiped a truck,
Crossed my fingers just for luck.
My fenders was clickin' the guardrail posts.
The guy beside me was white as a ghost."

So, just don't hit the guardrail posts .....

Holy crap! You're hitting side posts? I would be as white as ghost too, finding out that I'm hitting the posts.

I didn't know you live in the bay too!

I lived in Danville for a couple of years, back in the wee 70s, when it was a sleepy little cow town. I had a 1956 Ford, step side pickup truck, painted fire engine red, with wide, chrome reversed rims with baby moons and powered by a Chevrolet small block V-8.

No, I didn't do that to the truck, I bought it off a Mexican kid that worked at the pilot plant, which was part of the research center where I worked.

Paid him $800 cash and drove it home to Danville; my then wife exclaimed "where are you going to park that thing ....... surely NOT in front of our house" .....

She is now my ex wife.

(it looked a lot like this one ..... )

Well, that truck came with a I6 engine.

Yep, in 1932, Ford started putting the V-8 (flathead) engine in their cars.......

#loudmeansfast kind of thing right? Haha. I see she Cars and Coffee a lot on weekends at Pinole. They got sent Vintage cars that are soup'd up and are hella loud. But the look and sound so good. New cars can't contented to those. Of course, except for our 86s
