I have enjoyed cars and motorcycles all my life. My wife has picked up my passion for cars and enjoys them as well. I graduated from high school in 1970. The peak of the muscle car era. As such they have usually been my cars of choice. Now that we are a little older, we are enjoying the comfort and technology of the newer sports cars. We currently own a 2013 Midnight Race Blue, Corvette Grand Sport, 4LT, and a 2014 Firestorm Red, Scion FRS. Both cars are great, but we really love the FRS, and take it on all our trips and fun rides. We are thinking of auto roading it in the near future, and would appreciate any advice or input.
As of now the FRS has a TRD cold air intake, TRD exhaust, TRD rear spoiler, TRD front and rear sway bars, Megan Racing strut tower brace and Magic Drift front spoiler, side skirts and rear mud Flaps. We are looking forward to getting involved in the correspondence here on this forum. We welcome all advice or questions you may have. Thanks .
Welcome! We have quite a few people in the 40-60 year old set...

Just got the last whiteout 14 manual in Northern California. I loved my 07 Mini Cooper S but it was totaled in a fire.

So glad I found this forum. Wondering if anyone else out here in Gig Harbor has an FRS/BRZ. I've seen a couple driving on the freeway, but not sure if they're local or not.

New here

Hey just saying hi, I bought a second hand (8000km) frs with a few mods already done.
I have a few more in mind like sounds system, headlights darker, custom shark fin antenna, turbo, lighting, fog lights etc.
So far I took of the old matt grey vinyl and replaced with metallic black.Name: 10458365_10154483433315377_8569006172560239987_n.jpg

The only thing I'm not in love with are the studs, but all the other mods look great on the car!

JUST GOT MINE 1 WEEK AGO

Love it !! Love it!! OMG - a dream. Just about what I expected. A bowl of ice cream. Coming from an RX-8, and then a Honda Pilot, I love this little car. I named her Annie. She is so fun! I am getting about 25mpg too.

Thanks mate

The previous owner had the body kit installed with self tapping screws and covered in matt-black plasti dip.

I had only driven it for a few months before some of the screws started falling out and plastidip was scratched in places.

I took of the matt-grey vinyl and plastidip and screws and replaced with black metallic wrap and large flange aluminum rivets.

I liked the difference between the body kit and the car so i'm thinking about changing the wrap on the body kit some time in the future.. maybe carbon look or flat/matt black?

I really like the two-tone. It makes it look like an Audi R8. Hmm I think a matte wrap would he great! Go for it and post pics!

Hello,

Just bought my 2015 FR-S (and my first car) almost a month ago. Have been enjoying every day of it. Nervous for when winter comes (Indianapolis driver) but ... that's what the snow button's for, right?

Welcome and congrats, suninbrainout!

Snow tires help a lot, too.

I also live here in Indy and my FR-S is my daily driver...snow tires on around Thanksgiving and off around Easter did the trick for me (and last winter was downright brutal, accumulation-wise).

Cheers!
