Lightbulb Reverse Mirror Tilt Module

I posted this in the BRZ forum, but thought I'd share with my GT/FRS peeps.

I love cars that tilt the side mirrors when backing up -- such a thoughtful simple solution.

Here's a universal module some might consider. Doesn't look too expensive or hard to do. But I'm a noob. Thoughts?

Edit: Here's the BRZ wiring diagram.

Unnecessary luxury. If your side mirrors are set up correctly, shifting your head left or right will allow you to see the side of your car. And since our car is so low, you'll see curbs easily. On cars that sit much higher, different story. For our cars? Completely superfluous.

I for one alway park by backing up. This would be extremely helpful.
Someone should make a DIY?

When I had my Acura CL it had this and it was super nice to have when parking.

I'd consider buying it if somebody made a how to and wasn't too difficult to install

had this feature on my ex-BMW, had it turned off because it's totally useless and unnecessary like the poster above said... (unless you are clueless on how to use the side mirrors correctly and/or don't know how to back up).

Well, yeah, lol. But I think the car is so low already that I can already see curbs on my mirror, so it wouldn't really accomplish what it set out to do.

And now we need a sound clip of the 007 horn.

@raul I appreciate the insight, I'm taking delivery of mine in about a week.

I'm gonna gamble on the horn.

Well, enjoy it then! Before you posted this I had no idea it even existed! But it makes sense? So it triggers when you shift into reverse? It tilts the mirror into a preset position, or simply down?

@raul Yeh, me neither but it's a feature I've loved on other (admittedly higher) cars -- on the module you set the limits with a couple of switches -- pretty slick.

Can't wait to be lucky enough to see it from your point of view, from behind the wheel of my BRZ. counting down until delivery.

I also back in every time I park. Short of actually drilling and putting in a reverse-camera, having the mirrors tilt down when you put the car in R is the best thing to help avoid scraping on high curbs. I like this idea. Anyone done it on an FR-S/BRZ?
