Well as much as I like the gt wing I have a stock body and I don't want to rice my car and I think the duckbill v2 or v3 look good and in leaning towards v2 but what you think v2 or v3

LOL Wrong guy to ask that as my answer is neither. I like more subtle and have the stock Scion one.
If that torn between two you like just flip a coin.

Is the down force only good for cornering? And bad for acceleration/straightaways?

Down force is good all the time when traveling fast enough to need it. Unless you are racing and can hit those speeds it means nothing.
As has been said many times 99% of the spoilers on these cars are for cosmetic reasons only. Nothing wrong with that either (unless you have a monster wing on an otherwise stock car then you just look silly).

OP, what people are trying to get across is the spoiler will not matter for your daily driving. Also don't worry about what spoiler other people like, it's your car.

Yes, any "wing" that rises over the trunk while still letting air pass under it will hurt mpg, and won't have any benefit for normal street use (they also tend to be big) - their purpose is to create drag to remain planted during cornering and to an extreme extent - to avoid lift-off during very, very high speeds.

The FR-S has an almost ideal rear slant angle for drag reduction; a well designed, quality spoiler will net you a very slight decrease in the coefficient of drag because it will deflect the flow coming off the trunk slightly higher. I believe the video containing a lot of information regarding this is still posted on the front page of the website.

I don't think either will net you notable benefit for regular street use, so if you're set on adding a spoiler for the cosmetic appeal, I would just pick the one you like in that regard. A large wing will likely hurt mpg and depending on where you live I would be concerned about it attracting negative attention to your car.

FIFY, and while that is the idea, most of the wings you see are pretty much for looks OP.

What the hell!?

At least it appears to be functional... Super beefy tires.

I would be paranoid of that thing falling off every time I drive.
