rom tuning for pops and backfires

I want my car to backfire and pop more. I'm on oft stg2 with Jdl uel and Tomei type 80. it occasionally pops when engine braking to a stop and blipping when putting in neutral, and also up shifting, but i want it to happen more often. what should I change in my rom to get this? from what I understand, pops are from extra fuel, oxygen in the exhaust, and retarded ignition, but how can I safely tune for it while keeping max power and efficiency? don't comment on this being ricerish or bad for the environment/neighborhood, it's ****ing awesome

Try the waranttee return bin at the dealer for some Direct Injectors with crook DI seals = pops

Remove port injectors , run a 1/8" drill bit through 'em should make it run rich = backfires

Or you could remove the primary O2 sensor and pipe the fuel pump return line into that port.

it's tough to find good help on this forum, everyone seems to think they're funny.. would changing the decel fueling be a step In the right direction?

Perhaps retard the ignition in the decel columns?

What sort of injector overrun settings can you alter?

A front pipe with a highflow metal core cat will help. As for tuning, your wanting to add fuel in an area where the ecu has cut off the injectors (decel / lift throttle) so your going to have a hard time. You can target richer afr under load and mess around with the decel fueling tables a bit.

Your not going to find a lot of people that tune for this on purpose so the knowledge is probably just not there. But there is nothing stopping you from figuring it out.

Log, adjust, test, repeat

you could but it wont give you the effect you want without pulling timing

We do this with EcuTek using custom maps.

Yup, no FI needed. Just RaceROM.

I'm quite sure it's possible to do by just remapping the active ignition table and by playing around with the duration for throttle enrichment.
