Does anyone have any experience with Perrin's Positive Steering Response System?

Any suspension-knowledgable folks want to chip in? I've been looking for more "steering response" and maybe a little more "feel"; I've searched the forums and while there have been some things on steering feel I haven't seen much on steering response. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated & I imagine others will be searching for threads like this one.

Why would a product made out of billet aluminum be affected by salt?

Does the brz psrs still use an exposed spherical bearing like some of the past ones for other cars?

I found that these help with the steering quite a bit from the stock setup. The increased caster really helps in the turns. With them installed, the car seems to want to really pull into the turn from the front when compared to the stock setup. I also installed these at the same time:

Perrin Front Control Arm Brace

With all of this in place, the vague, wobbly feeling I got under heavy braking into a corner was pretty much gone. Still, it was not spectacular and did not seem to do as much as I had hoped. What really made all of this work spectacularly well (and as I had intended) was this brace:

Carbing Front Crossmember Brace

I had ordered it at the same time as the rest of the items, but it took over 6 weeks to arrive because it was new and had to come from Japan. [I can't find a good link to a Carbing website that shows and explains the brace, so I used this vendor's site for the link.] After installing the Carbing brace, everything came together and worked as I had intended with greatly increased steering response, at the expense of a little more NVH.

I also added these at the same time to tame the rear of the car:

Whiteline Rear Subframe Bushing Inserts

This full setup with stock shocks and springs created handling "magic" with an alignment and some front camber bolts. That is, until recently as now my stock shocks are toast and will need replacement or upgrading to keep my car handling well.

I think this is the same as the Whiteline Anti-Lift bushings/mounts. These always worked great on pretty much any Subaru and the BRZ uses the same basic suspension design. Unfortunately if you autocross they aren't really legal for any class other than Modified since they relocate the suspension pickup points.

From what you're saying it seems the brace made the biggest impact and I may order one myself and see what that does alone before I go for the Perrin front control brace / steering response system. Sucks that your shocks are already toast! How many miles do you have on your car? Track time?

I have about 40,000 miles on my car. I have had 3 days on the competition track at BIR. I also have quite a few days on a much smaller and slower track, but relatively few laps there. I am an instructor, so I usually take only a few laps at a time on the shorter track. I drive quite hard when I am on the track.

I don't know how well the Carbing brace will work without the other items. I just know that it made all my other changes work as intended. I was definitely the most effective piece in that respect.

I drive my car about 1 year with whiteline caster bush (anti lift kit ). and
installed perrin PSRS 2months ago.
vibration is much increased during highway crusing. ( 100~140km/h)
steering response are not much different from whiteline bush.
if you concerned about NVH, I think whiteline anti lift kit is better solution.

and both kit will give you
1. crisper turn-in
2. stronger on-center feel

@Yobiwan hmm you almost make it sound like the perrin steering response system is not worth it :P s the NVH increased such that you regret installing the PSRS? worth it in your opinion? thanks to both you and @dwx for mentioning the whiteline anti-lift bushings

both work great in handling aspects .

I hear that a lot of guys end up removing the perrin units because of the NVH they produce. I have the Whiteline anti-dive bushings on my car. The change is positive, but very subtle. They keep NVH very low which is a plus.
