Sweet lord this is the worst yet. They quote motor which is quoted Best Car. They took a part of the recorded interview where Tada said "there is a team" and added a whole fiction second line. Now it is reported to get a Toyota engine which was never mentioned anyplace Oh god the list of fabrication just goes on and on.

Correct, Toyota could have done just that but, THEY DIDN'T! They wanted the boxer 4 for a reason! SO why do so many people seem to think that they (Toyota) should change their minds now, abandon the boxer in favour of some in-line lump?

Opinions yes, FACTS no!
Nice, you managed to not comprehend anything I wrote.

You sure get fired up on speculation and other peoples opinions.

Congratulations

And could you post up your "FACTS"

Thanks

Do a quick Google on that.
The twins are rock solid in comparison (when you consider numbers made)
Any physical issue with an Evora motor should be the same issues as a Camry V6 (since its the same engine).

Now the question is that we don't know how much or how little tweaking Lotus actually does to the engine outside of using their own ECU (which also brings about electronic gremlins unrelated to engine!)

Plus I quickly googled and didn't really find anything regarding engine falures (there was one about how the car owner seemingly overrevved at some point and then the engine died like a 1 year later or something, baffling people how a potentially damaged engine managed to survive for so long before imploding).

Guess the next generation 86/BRZ will cost more than a Supra if that's what they're striving for since no way they can make it better than a Supra at a cost less than the Supra.

Poor Supra owners will wish they waited for the new 86/BRZ instead!

that is perhaps the most ridiculous rumor so far. it would be like saying the new camaro is going to be better than the newest vette.

Yeah I must admit this is stretching or breaking the truth of what was said, Tetsuya Tada never said anything about the 86 surpassing the Supra. He talks about sports cars always evolving and getting better and used Porsche as an example of this in the interview, but there was no mention of this “leap frog” business.

Hey, if that kind of journalism is good enough for CNN...

Unnamed sources in the Trump administration have confirmed that the next 86 will be all wheel drive and have a turbo.

I don't think he meant in terms of speed, I think he meant driver involvement, slidey fun etc

Exactly.

Not sure if you guys have been in any BMW product in the past couple years, but honestly beyond the M2 Competition, I find the BRZ way more fun then all their offerings. (Spent the last ~3 months with a 2019 BMW M4, before that 340i for work).
