Am I the only one who actually prefers the asymmetric look of the Grimmspeed bracket to the center-mounted position? Not even taking into account the engine cooling, drilling or not, etc. just looking at positioning.

I don't get the off-center mounting for looks. I see one, "looks stupid". Worried about cooling? Drill holes in the plate, at least that would look cool. That decal plate is a good idea. I don't see why a low-key number set up front would need to be that big, I've yet to get a ticket running from a cop in reverse.

Any car can mount their front plate in the center of the bumper/grille. Only racecars get to mount it off to one side on the tow hook. There are plenty of non-twin cars that try to get away with the look by drilling the front plate into some part of the bumper off to one side without actually being on the tow hook but these always look like garbage. Tow hook mount is the way to go.

Madness. The asymmetric drag just destroys tires.

@Tcoat is right. On the street, there's no noticeable difference in coolant temps with the front plate mounted that way.
From what I've seen in my data logs, the bigger concern is actually overcooling the oil on the street with an air-liquid style cooler (even with a thermostat controlling the flow). That's where using the license plate as a block-off helps.

I much prefer the tow-hook mount. A plate looks out of place on the front of any car, but I'm not drilling into my car to put one on, nor do I like the zip-tie option. The tow-hook mount is the least offensive of my options.

At least the angled rear plate fad didn't last long. Edit: LOL and I just noticed the 1 1/4" exhaust on that road warrior! Must sound awesome.
