Saw a 1st gen done up like that once. It wasn't bad, honestly... whoever applied the graphics did it proportionally to the car and it looked OK.

I still wouldn't do it though, heck no.

My money is on the lava color, would look pretty good. I’ll put on my Gran Turismo to do list to try that out. People seem hot for actual colors with this car so might as well do one.

I'd take this over everything except red and Neptune. Maybe tied with Neptune.

My god thats the new gran turismo game isnt it? Looks incredible. I wish it could be had on the PC... I would buy in an instant just to be able to mess with the GR86.

Yep. If that, Hakone green, the yellow, or the very light, flat special edition blue/grey (forget the name) had been available when I ordered my Neptune, I would have had a tough call. I am secretly hoping the 10th is some silver or grey with badging and nothing else so I don't spend the next year secretly pining for it.

Of course, who knows - I am allowed to order one car a year through the Toyota vendor program. If there is any chance the special edition is available through that (I doubt it) or the GR Corolla (which I would just buy to sell but doubt that even more) and used sales prices stay where they are, I might be able to sell the one I have in a year and by the 10th anniversary and actually make money on the deal!

BTW- just noticed it has premium tires but no duckbill. I thought those guys were supposed to be realistic?

I'm worried that the next car any of my dealers get will be their single 10th anniversary at this rate. Will probably be the base AT version too, my luck.

The 86 in GT7 is the a RZ, similar to our premium, which doesn't have the duckbill. It's RHD with a different interior colorway too.

Who has already called their local Toyota dealer to try to get in line?

I really hope its not orange. Did not like the Lava colour at all (toyota also discontinued it halfway thru the 2021 model year for CHR as they ran out, so i highly doubt Hot Lava would be used)

The Lava and other orange colours were explained by Toyota as a tribute to their old race colours. They have quite a long history of orange specialty cars actually. With those statements in mind an orange of some kind is quite possible.

I'd personally be stoked for that.

Of course I'm not a prospective buyer so my opinion is worth nil
