I still haven't driven on that road yet. I'm hearing it's pretty awesome. Been looking for some good roads to tackle in the Austin area now that my car is broken in.

I personally think LC is overrated. Kind of gets dizzying and you're surrounded on all sides by trees so you don't really get much of a view.

If you take 2222 going west from Mopac it is a lot more fun all the way to City Park Rd. Once you get to City Park Rd make a left and take the twisties all the way up Emma Long. You get to wind out the car more than if you were to do Lime Creek.

Another thing, because of the constant steep grades of Lime Creek, the car's lack of torque really takes some of the fun out of it. Just my two cents.

Never been on that route. Just looked it up on Google Maps and it looks like a cool drive

Actually there's an advantage to having so many curves you can't go so fast. Less chance of a ticket. I was just doing a virtual tour of the City Park Rd. route (in google maps) and in the street view there is a trooper in a charger who had just pulled over a pickup truck

added. It shows up just north of the Westminster Glen Ave. intersection

That's why you do a nice recon run before attacking it at speed:-)

If anyone ever wants to do a blast up City Park Rd. I'd be happy to tail in my S2k. Better yet, we could probably get some video footage.

As-far-as tickets, I've been pulled over twice in the last year (after not getting a ticket for ten years) and each time was for 45 mph in a 35 mph zone. I would have expected to have gotten pulled over at 70ish on some roads. Either way, got a ticket (dismissed with defensive driving) and a warning the second time.

Hey guys, I figured I would post this up in the other "local" threads throughout the state. I picked up a Black BRZ Limited on Christmas Eve. I love everything about the car, except the spoiler.

If any of you guys with black want the limited spoiler, I want to do a trunk swap. My trunk has been debadged and is in perfect condition. I'm willing to drive to you and do the labor myself. Let me know.

So are you guys gonna meet up with us when the Houston crew stops by? We plan to do lime creek for sure. Last time we went to Austin no one in this thread seemed to care. We had 4 cars last time, this year we're probably going to have more. February 9th and 10th is when we will be in Austin.

If it's during the day, preferably in the morning, I'm in

Are you planning on going to the Austin Cars & Coffee -- It's now on the second Sunday of each month at the Oasis at Lake Travis. So it will be on Feb 10 this year. Lots of great roads in that area including LC.

Yes! Talk to your Houston crew and come out to C&C. It is at a new location along Lake Travis now.

I'll be going to the cars and coffee at Lake Travis on Jan 13th. Might bring the Camaro too with a big for sale sign this time, lol.

Btw, does anyone know of a good shop to get exhaust put on? Think I'm getting the Nameless Headerback but I don't have the jack/stands to get it up, but I've got all the other tools to do it.
