VW crowd are haters

You know what other groups of car people I've seen that like to taunt people in twins?

Mustangs
F-150s
Rams
tCs
Mazda 3s

350/370s
Genesis Coupes

I'm putting the Impreza and Mustang guys up top because they're the worst. There is an amazing amount of butthurt/jealous/immaturity directed towards the twins. Oddly enough, Evo guys don't even LOOK in the general direction, which is surprising, considering the attitude of STi drivers I've seen.

Edit: I imagine they're on their own forums bitching about our "riced out" cars.

That's the concensus that I have came to.

Everybody knows these cars are slow, yet they're the hot thing at the moment. I do feel that this car invites all sorts or douch baggery'ness.

I know it's not ALL VW guys... but it is nearly ALL VW guys in my area ahah. You know, the ones slammed to an inch of their lives with 18x11 rims on 205's with the loudest BOV you can find on earth lol. The sideways hat, aviator shades, and that tough cruising gangster lean are the one's I'm refferring to.

I usually associate those bros with Imprezas, actually. I guess it has less to do with the cars they drive, and more to do with the type of people those cars can attract. I almost never even acknowledge them. The thing about GTis and STis is that I consider neither worthy competition for the twins. I say this to anyone who will listen: a hopped up economy car is NOT a sports car, even if it goes faster than the actual sports car. The only 2 cars on the list I consider "real" sports cars are the Mustang and the Zs.

Truth! People hauler chassis vs sports car chassis. Even if my frs only had 120hp, I'll still choose it over a 300hp grocery getting people hauler.

As a former and current VW owner and a former FRS owner, I have to say: The FRS/BRZ group owners bitches about other car owners/people more than any group I've been around. You'd be surprised how many threads on VWvortex pop up about the FRS/BRZ. the comments are even generally positive, less gripes than most actual FRS owners it seems.

This, like most of the "everyone hates me and my FRS/BRZ" just screams insecurity about your purchase. The VW/Audi crowd is fully aware that they don't drive sports cars, a fact most embrace. That's not to say they don't try to make their cars drive better, but doesn't everyone to some degree?


TL;DR: Stop bitching about other people and just enjoy your car. Every group has bad apples, you're on track to become one.

Anything that is worth a damn gets hated on, unfortunately. I get a giggle out of the Youtube comments on how a 1200hp GTR is "still a Nissan".

Toyota gets hated on by the general enthusiast crowd, yet they outsell damn near everyone.

LeBron James gets hated on, but let's face it. He makes bookoo bucks and his stats don't lie.

Just curious which area is this? I'm guessing those stereotype you mentioned @ west side of the city rolling around in Mk3 and Mk4 Golfs/Jettas?

I mostly just smile back and continue on my merry way cruising along. All the while chuckling to myself at what a loser they are. Why would you lower yourself to their shenanigans? Darwins law will take care of them eventually.

I've been revved at while at a light, while driving, tail-gated, honked at, cut off... but in the end. No Fucks are given and that just infuriates them.
