what do you all do at these meets? I'm interested but can't really drink legally as I'm 19

The group usually plays darts (pool tables available too), eats food, and just in general hangs out. Not sure what new management will do, but in the past it was spotty on the ID check. Sometimes they checked and enforced the 21yr old only rule, sometimes they let people in if they were out before 9pm and promised not to drink. With "Restaurant" in the title, my hope is the new place will allow under 21 year olds.

Don't go in hopes you'll get in. Not to talk down about the group, but they won't relocate for a person if they don't get in

This did happen the one time yes. That was the first day that Eddies ever didn't let people in because of age. Because it happened unexpectedly we decided to just stick with the location for that day.

We obviously changed locations when Eddies was essentially closed. Now we will see what the new policy is with Revolution. Hopefully they will be more relaxed given that they put restaurant in their name, as was stated earlier.

Unfortunately for you younger guys the majority of us are above drinking age and like playing darts.

I meant that the group won't relocate if the person of younger age doesn't get in. Should have clarified the second "they."

I don't really want "hopefully," when you guys do go there, ask for other members of the group if they will allow younger people in. For us MD people, it's a mission to drive down there, especially during rush hour traffic through 495.

I know what you meant, and I was explaining the situation so people don't think we're assholes.

What I mean by hopefully is that we will be finding out tonight what their new policy is. If that risk is an issue for you tonight then you don't have to come. If their policy is no one under 21 then the group can decide as a whole what to do in the future.

I don't think you are, but saying that anyone is welcome to come and then not being allowed into a venue sucks. And I agree with the last sentence. It's not a question about when or where the meetups are held, but a question of who can go and participate in them (and letting them know that they can/cannot).

Totally get that which is why I wanted to clarify the "happened once" and "unexpectedly" part. Obviously not something we would like to have happen again. We will update the event when we know what the deal is.
