Yes, used a soft plastic trim tool to remove, but you could just use your fingers. It plugs right in after that.

The "leather" pattern is different. It is more smooth than the previous textured version.

Nope, none at all. Fits all the 2013 - 2016 200mm Toyota Head Units without issue.

I swung by the Toyota dealer near me to see if he was able to order me 66077CA200 (one piece red stitching) but he did not have access to Subaru part numbers so he would not be able to order it.
I also too a look at the Toyota one piece (alcantara, no stitching with pressed in Toyota 96 in bottom right corner). That is a good looking piece, but not as nice as the Subaru one, so I asked him to quote me that one instead. He did not have the definite price yet but it was over $300 Canadian. I think I will pass on this thank you very much.

So I guess I will have to find one at the local Subaru dealer. Or I will have to do some cross border shopping, although shipping would probably kill the price difference.

@Tcoat, maybe Canadian can organise a group buy so that you can start you empire after all.

Hard to compete with the online price even with exchange. I doubt they have stock yet anyway.
I have let that dream slip away.

The 86 dash isn't alcantara. I think they're calling it "soft touch" but it is supposedly similar to the normal dashboard rubbery feeling material.

It's "grand Lux!" And it feels like scruffier leather hehe in addition to what you said

And I for one do not like it at all! Dust and dirt trap for anybody that actually uses the car as a car and just running your fingers across it makes it look messy. I think it's life expectancy as a feature will be short lived. One of those 'WTF were you thinking designer? You ever actually drive and or clean a car before?' things.

Oh and it matches NOTHING else in the car. Nothing. Not even the seats.
