And rock 18's everywhere except events.

I have 4 sets of 17's including the stock wheels/tires which won't even fit the front of my car. AutoX wheels, summer wheels, winter wheels, and stockers... and I don't drive in the winter if I can help it (I have the winter setup just in case) - and the weight savings at the wheel are worth chasing. Same with behind the wheel. If you cheat yourself you'll always wonder. Also, no reps for AutoX. just don't. I'd avoid for street too but...

Having something you really like for most of the time is so worth it though.

Take your time, save up, and keep your eyes peeled for a good deal.
No reps on my car! Its just not worth it.. even if it was simply a pure DD.

Anyhoo, if all else fails, I've seen people parting ways with rpf1s for very low prices in the past - they pop up now and then.

And I'm only 165lb currently! I suppose I can try to drop back down to my high school weight of 130... :P

Ouch. Well, that's a tough spot to be in. That said, you can probably only get started on FI for that budget... it will cost more over time too. No reputable wheels with a similar look exist at a nicer price?

For AutoX, as nice as it is to look unique and exactly the way you like, it's hard to beat the RPF1 for price/performance. And that saves you a little more to get the dailies you really want.

Also, just be a healthy weight. I could attempt to reach the 120lbs I left HS weighing (on 5'10" frame, I was skinny...) It's just not realistic given my old age and deteriorating conditions. Still, I could probably stand to lose a few pounds. The question is whether it's cheaper than fancy parts on the car; if it makes me live longer, it'll definitely cost more to be healthy and thin.

Why not jack at the front beam and the diff?

Hey they look pretty nice. Good choice!

At least you are not buying some cheap Rota wheels just for the sake of looks?

I have Enkei MAT wheels and hit potholes all day long, no issues they have been good to me.

Like fuck I can buy two Enkei MAT rims for the price of one mountain bike racing wheel.

The wheels i will buy need to be strong enough to survive roads imperfections and weekend abuse. I have never seen someone runnung rotas here, thats was my first hint to keep away of them

That's what led me to the Weds TC105N... Similar look, killer wheel (light and very strong) and half that price if you find the right vendor... Still a lot more than RPF1 ....

That's what my buddy has for his auto-x setup (along with the jesus tires known as RE-71's). Great split in both form and function

I do at home with my big jack. My little jack can't reach.

My dailies are XXRs. Paint quality was poor but the price was right. They haven't exploded yet and I drive pretty hard. You guys should consider the Kosei K4R. Similar design to what was posted above but cheap and the Miata guys love them

Ah, gotcha. As I wrote, I wondered if I wasn't missing something obvious.
