I'm working with Toyota as much as I can to get answers. I'm taking my car in Monday and they're taking pictures of something to send to technical.

For those that don't want to change the HPFP remember the secret formula:

No Corn = No Chirping

When was your car manufactured? I hit 10k a couple of months ago and still have the chirps....

All California 91 octane E10, no particular station.

Edit: Others have claimed disappering chirps, others have 20k miles and chirping as loudly as ever. Your mileage may vary.

Has anyone tried installing an aftermarket fuel pump like the Deatschwerks DW65c Drop In Fuel Pump And see if the issue is fixed?

As covered in other posts that fuel pump is for the fuel tank, not the high pressure unit located in the engine bay causing the chirps.

There would be zero improvement if you installed that pump.

Maybe Toyota could just go buy a HPFP off of a 2008 MINI Cooper S like I used to own. Direct injected motor and No chirping for 120,000+ miles. Maybe cut it apart and see what materials BMW used....or make an adapter kit. LOL

Thanks @strat61caster! Off the top of my head, I think my manufacturing date was 10/12...will keep an ear out for it while we wait to see if time will show that the 3rd gen HPFP will be a reliable fix!

I had the 3rd gen HPFP installed yesterday. I guess I'll wait and see if the chriping comes back. I'm in Utah and won't be putting many miles (if any) on the BRZ during the winter months so it may take quite awhile for me to evaluate the new pump.

Anything is possible, but that wouldn't explain my situation, which is duplicated by others. For convenience, I get my gas at the same two stations almost all the time. My original pump started chirping at about 500 miles. I have about 2000 on the second without a chirp.
