Like you, I am VERY done with loud exhausts, this thing HOWLS non stop. So I ordered the perrin Catback hoping to reduce volume a bit- but is sending them my OP/FP to get the can replaced a necessary step as well to reduce volume? Hopefully I don't need to replace the header, it was quite expensive.
Woah totally missed your post, you ever get it sorted out?
To me, the ball style resonator made an instant and noticeable improvement to overall volume. I was able to romp on the car guilt free with a muffled track pipe (still loud, bit not obnoxious). Never tried with the Perrin, but I'd say try getting the resonator replaced first, if you still need quieter after that go Perrin.

It's an M8x1.25

Frame is soft enough that the tap from the cheap metric harbor freight tap & die set chased it with no issues whatsoever.

Not a lot of updates lately, picked up a new set of AD08s because they did so well for me, and spent the weekend driving maryhill.

It's an absolutely fantastic road. Very unforgiving when it comes to mistakes, but I could drive it all day (and I did). Wish the car had a little more pull on the uphill run compared to everything else that was there, but had some real fun chasing my buddies E55 on the downhill.

Did a cosmetic mod, @johan says I'm a ricer now.

Second time out at maryhill, tires were shot and (as I found out today) alignment was not where I'd left it, but still layed down a decent time.

It just needs a little more low, more camber in the back, and some clear turn signals.... now where the hell did I put my vape pen? OH GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!?

That looks like an amazing road!!
Btw, I'm part of the UEL, FP, OP, stock catback club now, it sounds perfect!

It's great, perfect twisty road and closed to traffic, so no worrying about oncoming cars/cyclists/cops.

And yeah, the stock catback, with everything else aftermarket sounds kinda not great from inside, but waay better from outside the car than anything else I've tried.

Further down the ricer hole, added some JDM bling to the ride

Sounds perfect, absolutely perfect. All the rasp and treble from the tomei FP gone and replaced with a tone that makes me want to rip on it absolutely everywhere.

Tomei UEL + Motiv OP + Fujitsubo FP + Nameless Track pipe = Much happy

This is the happiest I've been with my exhaust tone since I was stock and running just the HKS Hipower.
