Hell I remember in college, cramming like 7 people in my Lancer to go hit a party up. I understand some of you are such non risk takers and these actions are out of the question (good for you, truly) but many of us has done some "dumb shit" while we were young, some get a way with it, some ends in tragedy.

I hope for a speedy recovery for these kids, and some will learn a valuable lesson after this.
There's a difference between doing something dumb and doing something where the odds add up that there will be bad consequences. There is no reason to make a choice to drink and drive, there is no reason to make a choice to ride w/o seat belt, there is no reason to drive at high speeds on public roads.

Ugh... the driver already got the worst punishment of all: he killed his 17 year old brother while driving.

Give it time, lol. I haven't done anything dumb with this car (and I don't plan to), but have with plenty of my past ones.

Agreed. But it takes more than this "wake up call". It's the responsibility of all of us to "be my brother's keeper". Think about this... how many times have we all gone to a meet and seen someone do stupid stuff? And how many times have we said something to them? I know I've been guilty of that. I've just shaken my head and looked in disgust, but I never took the time to go over and care for them in a way that could save their lives or at least the lives of those around them.

We are a community people. We are enthusiasts who have a passion for something that when abused could be a life or death matter. We need to be responsible towards each other. Not saying that we TAKE responsibility FOR others. But be responsible to others. Call someone out when their being stupid. It could save a life.

Either way, cool car!
